Earlier last week, I had the opportunity to travel to Brooklyn, NY for a fantastic photo shoot! Please say hello to Little Miss Juliana! She was born on Christmas Day weighing 6lbs 7ozs! Nothing but a bundle of Christmas joy for sure!
Some of you may remember when I went to Louisville to photograph her parents' wedding, or perhaps you will recognize her handsome cousin here! I am so very honored and thankful that Kristen and Mike invited me into their home to capture just a little bit of Julian's perfect sweetness.
I could gush and gush, but I really just want you to enjoy these pictures!
Golding; Party of three, your table is now ready! (If I'm the only one who thinks I'm funny...I'm sorry)
In all seriousness, the window light in this house was heavenly!
There really isn't anything I love more than new parents snuggled on the bed with a little one.
Do you think Mike knows that Juliana already has him wrapped around her finger? ;)
Sweet little baby noses and cheeks and chins and LIPS just make my ovaries ache. So precious! Isn't she just darling?
Kristen, this is the one that needs to go above the fireplace :)
Not every baby can pull off the "statement" necklace, but J has this look down!
I'm so glad Kristen had this idea because I really like it!
I truly adore this moment between a new momma and her baby. It's a perfect, real moment, never to be recreated again. Juliana's baby profile is just too lovely! And, as always, I think Kristen is absolutely stunning!
I've got some fun things planned for Claire Cross Photography as 2016 continues. I'm already booking Spring sessions, if you are interested in being photographed, let's get you on the books now!
"I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel…"
Okay, maybe not... but walking through LaGuardia airport deserves a metal of honor ;)
To be perfectly honest, I've never had to depend solely on myself to accomplish a large task (like traveling alone). I know it doesn't sound like a big deal; to fly in and out of the city in one day...but for a girl who is notorious for not being able to find her way out of a paper bag...this particular day was pretty momentous. I hailed my own cabs, I rode THE SUBWAY (ok, so it was one train, 12 stops-big whop..) Overall, I experienced a lot of personal growth. At the risk of sounding incredibly cheesy, it was liberating!
With my extra time I wandered over to 30 Rock and just enjoyed being in the area. I initially headed that way for a "Top-Of-The-Rock" tour, but I missed the last tour by a handful of minutes. Next time, I will plan better... it was just nice to be in a building where such funny things are made. Some of you know that I'm a big time comedy nerd. I like to follow cast members of SNL (past and present) in particularly, I have a thing for comedy writers (um, hello Tina Fey and Seth Meyers!) but most importantly....my all time celebrity crush is Jimmy Fallon.
As the record stands, I've yet to spend more than 15 hours in New York city. Next time, I plan on taking EVEN better pictures, actually getting real NY pizza and I'll get my hands on some authentic cannolis! And MAYBE....just maybe, I can snag tickets for The Tonight Show!
A girl can dream!
Below are a few highlights from my iPhone.
